Pearl Jam Do the East Coast | 2008 Summer Tour Dates

When a band announces a headlining slot at a major summer festival, a full tour is usually in the works. That's now officially the case with Bonnaroo headliner Pearl Jam. Eddie Vedder and co. will embark on an East Coast tour sandwiching their stay in Manchester, TN with dates from Florida to Massachusetts. The 10-date tour will include a two-night stay at Madison Square Garden. It will be their first time playing the Garden in five years.

A Pearl Jam tour should be a welcome addition to the summer schedule of any serious concert goer; I know it is for me. For my money, their live show is worth every penny and is on-par with the best in the business. Plus, they're continuing their strong taste in opening acts (recent openers include My Morning Jacket and Sleater-Kinney). This June they'll be bringing Kings of Leon and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists along for the ride.
