TI feat Rihanna : Live Your Life Song

T.I. goes the cinematic route in this new video for his hit single, "Live Your Life," where Rihanna lends her vocal on the hook. Aided by director Anthony Mandler, the music video captures T.I. as a troubled man getting involved with mafia and Rihanna as a nightclub singer.
For those who might obsess over where they last heard the song`s introduction and sample, look no further than Moldovan pop group O-Zone, and their #1 European hit single, "Dragostea din tei".

T.I. is enlisting a host of today’s hottest stars to help him pump up his new album Paper Trail in stores September 30. He’s got arguably the hottest chick in the pop game on a new leaked track “Live Your Life.” That chick? Yeah, you know who: Rihanna (because the picture didn’t give it away). Even some of the biggest hip hop heads are calling this track a stand out on the album. It’s definitely radio perfect.

Enrique Iglesias - Away Song NEW Released song "Greatest Hits" album

"Away" is a pop song from singer Enrique Iglesias. It is the first single from his greatest hits album "Greatest Hits". The song features Sean Garrett and is directed by Anthony Mandler, the same guy who helped making Rihanna's "Rehab" music video.
Enrique, about the album: "The new songs on this album add a new flavour to my sound; 'Away' has got, like, an urban/pop ballad sound to it, and 'Takin' Back My Love' sounds like a real Euro pop/dance kinda thing, so I'm still playing around with my sound and style. I just hope my fans continue to enjoy what I'm prepared to give them -- I wanna give them everything."

Pink - So What Music Video HOT ROCK PINK PINK !

"So What" is a song written by American pop singer Pink, Max Martin and Shellback for her forthcoming fifth studio album called "Funhouse", of which it will be the first single.

"So What" explicitly deals with life after marriage as Pink makes several references to her divorce of Corey Hart after his rumored infidelity.

Dave Meyers has been tapped to direct the video for "So What". Pink previously worked with him for the videos to "U + Ur Hand" and "Stupid Girls", which earned MTV Video Music Award for Best Pop Video.

If you're unaware of recent developments in Pink's personal life, her new single will bring you bang up to date. "I guess I just lost my husband, I don't know where he went," go the opening lines, "So I'm gonna drink my money, I'm not gonna pay his rent." That's right, 'So What' is a break-up song.
Specifically, it's a brash, childish, defiant and rather tongue-in-cheek break-up song. It's also a break-up song that lots of people will be singing along to, thanks to a typically stonking pop/rock chorus courtesy of Max Martin. But Pink's brilliance here shouldn't be underestimated. Who else would think to do something like this? Who else could pull it off? And who else could persuade the ex-hubby she calls a "tool" on the chorus to appear in the video?

Not so much a pop song as a blitzkrieg on the brain, "So What" is the catchiest, brashest, most boisterous thing either Pink or producer Max Martin have ever recorded. Some feat when you consider that they've written songs as insanely infectious as "Oops! I Did It Again", "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)", "Since U Been Gone", "Get The Party Started" and "Just Like A Pill" between them.

Over a bubblegum riff that could have been swiped from cult kid's TV show "Rhoobarb and Custard", Pink snarls at ex-husband Corey Hart and swaggers around challenging bystanders to a fight, before detonating a trashy, thrashy thermonuclear of a chorus. And though part of you wishes she would set the bratty "f*ck you" attitude aside long enough to write another song as honest, vulnerable and heart-rending as "Don't Let Me Get Me", another part will thrill at the sheer dumb delirium of it. It's already Number One in the US, Australia and Canada, so if you don't like day-glo pop-punk you should probably find a bunker to hide in right now.

The Last Shadow Puppets - My Mistakes Were Made For You Music Video

The Last Shadow Puppets release their new single 'My Mistakes Were Made For You' on Monday the 20th of October 2008. Taken from their Mercury nominated 'The Age Of The Understatement' album, 'My Mistakes Were Made For You' features the London Metropolitan Orchestra, conducted by Owen Pallet.

The video for 'My Mistakes Were Made For You' was shot at Pinewood studios and directed by Richard Ayoade. It shows the leather-clad duo in the forest amidst fog and the tailights of a crashed car.

The Last Shadow Puppets’ Understatement

Cinematic maneuvers in my brain and wild horses. Widescreen audio. Rumbling drums. Gainsbourg-like orchestrations. Room to wander. Ecstatic backing voices. The London touch of symphonia. Bigger drums. Offenders.

I don’t think anyone would have expected these collected guys, known as The Last Shadow Puppets, to produce a work like The Age Of the Understatement. Although on second thought, maybe not based upon the hyperkinetics of The Arctic Monkeys. But hey, what about their clever songs and witty lyrics?
The boys with different strategies
Talking about an understatement

Katy Perry : More Hot for I Kissed a Girl Music Video

Katy Perry

Every so often there comes along an artist who is everywhere. Omnipresent. Pervasive. Ubiquitous. A year ago, it was Rihanna. Right now, that artist is Katy Perry.

Her hit single “I Kissed a Girl,” with its bi-curious lyrics and impossibly hummable hook, has put Katy on the lips (no pun intended) of, well, just about everybody. The song, lifted from her debut pop album One of the Boys, has reached #1 in the United States on The Billboard Hot 100, and top charts in Canada, the U.K. and elsewhere. People just LOVE this song.

But there are people who hate it, too. There are those who think the lyrics are an affront to her Christian upbringing, since she’s the daughter of two pastors and began her recording career as a Christian artist. There are those who find the lyrics homophobic (along with those of her song, “Ur So Gay”). And there are those who don’t think it was a song that should have gotten her pop-song-singing-butt placed on a prominent stage on this summer’s Warped! Tour.

Not that she cares. Why? Because the 23-year-old, guitar-slingin’, Travis McCoy-datin’, pop star is the “it” girl of the moment.

She’s confident, funny, sassy, and damn, if she’s not talented, too. Her performance of “I Kissed a Girl” brought down the house on FNMTV a few weeks back (watch it after the jump). And on that aforementioned Warped! tour, she’s been turning young punks into pop converts all summer long.

As of late, she’s back in her element, touring the country on the mtvU Video Music Awards Tour with Boys Like Girls, All Time Low and Metro Station. And that makes sense, too, because Katy is nominated for two 2008 MTV Video Music Awards! “I Kissed a Girl” vaulted her into the Best Female Video category amidst clips from the likes of Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Britney Spears and Jordin Sparks.

The “Kissed” video also nailed Katy Perry a Best New Artist nomination. In that category, she’s competing against a slew of household names like Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Jordin Sparks and Tokio Hotel. You like her, right? Well if you do, you should totally cast a vote for her, because fans are deciding who takes this Moonman home. You can vote on MTV.com’s Best New Artist voting page. You can also cast 10 votes every time you play the Moonman Entourage game on MTV.com.

Anyway, it was just a few days ago out on the mtvU Video Music Awards Tour that we caught up with Katy to chat about all things Katy Perry. You’ll be seeing the fruits of that on-stage conversation all over MTV for the next week. You can also watch the spots on MTV.com, but just not yet.

In the meantime, you can check out a gallery of photos from the shoot. Watch the “I Kissed a Girl” video below, along with that FNMTV live performance. In a few days we’ll post some of those on-air promos here, too. In the meantime, check out Katy’s MTV.com artist page for a round up of just about everything we’ve got on Ms. P.

Oh, and remember what we said about her being funny? If you haven’t been following along, you’ve missed a helluva set of Katy Perry tour diaries that she did for Buzzworthy. The most recent one has her rockin’ a lady ’stache, while this one had her sharing her tips for coping as the only girl on the road, while another one shows off her boobs.

Rihanna More HOT in Disturbia Music Video

The new music video from R 'n' B singer Rihanna for her latest single "Disturbia" has finally been premiered on July 21. The clip was shot in Los Angeles starting from June 29 under the helm of renown director David LaChapelle, who has also worked with the likes of Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani before.

The new video seems trying to capture the meaning of the song by picturing a dark and disturbing people's behavior. Rihanna herself was shot in some different background on the clip, such as being trapped in a cage, singing and dancing inside a bed frame and sitting on a chair with her hand and leg chained.

The song itself is one of the new tracks that were included on Rihanna's latest repackaged LP "Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded", that was dropped on June 17. "Disturbia" is also a special track for the R 'n' B singer as it was actually written by her rumored boyfriend Chris Brown with the help of two of his friends Andre Merritt and Robert Allen. Before releasing "Disturbia", Rihanna has already spawned two other singles, "Take A Bow" and "If I Never See Your Face Again" featuring Maroon 5.

Beside promoting her re-released LP, the "Umbrella" hit maker reportedly has already had an idea for a new studio album. Previously in an interview, the singer stated that she wants to work with Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse and Duffy on her new record.

Update 2008-07-24: According to Def Jam's official site the video is directed by Anthony Mandler, who also direct Rihanna's "Take A Bow". Rihanna's "Disturbia" Video Premiere:

Jeremy Camp : Let It Fade Music Video and Download

Jeremy Camp has never been one to hold back. "Beyond Measure" reveals a man secure enough to take risks, confident and willing, and it's a thrill ride for us all.

The path of Jeremy Camp has been a well-publicized one, and many have taken satisfaction in watching the blessings pour into his life. From the raw yearning of debut “Stay,” to the surrender of “Carried Me: The Worship Project,” to the strength of “Restored,” Camp has generously shared the process of his journey in his music, leaving fans feeling invested deeply in the story of this talented songwriter. Watching Camp find love again with Benjamin Gate’s Adie and establish a family with their two young children brought joy to fans, and they will understand the deep sense of recognition and gratitude that flows from “Beyond Measure.” The project feels personal, as does much of his work, but it also contains a feeling of release, of exhilarating freedom. Camp displays more diversity in these twelve tracks and a willingness to experiment a bit, stretching out both vocally and musically on tracks like the muscular pop-rocker “Everything.” The good news is that it works; listeners will pick up on the energy in most of these new songs.

Even as the heavy guitar riffs open the project with rocker “Tonight,” an excitement clearly pulsates. The upbeat guitar-driven “What It Means” follows, shimmering with hooks and sincere worship. The title track serves as the album’s centerpiece, a perfectly-placed rocker thick with gratitude and recognition of the cost of his blessings. The passion builds from this point forward, big in “Let It Fade” and the throbbing rocker “Feels Like.” It’s petal to the metal fervor in the pumping hard-rocker “No Matter What,” an uplifting song of promise and commitment. Things slow down briefly for the standout track, “I Am Nothing,” a quiet ballad of straight-up worship, its luscious strings, glowing vocals, and inventive changes building to a glorious crescendo of adoration. The anthemic “Give You Glory” follows, a rousing rocker dripping with exuberance. Camp takes a chance on the closing track, slowing and simplifying down to an acoustic guitar for “Give Me Jesus,” a simple praise ballad that is deeply expressive and worshipful. It’s good to see Jeremy Camp taking chances, especially when they work as well as they do on “Beyond Measure,” releasing from BEC Recordings on October 31st. The many listeners who have followed and enjoyed Camp’s fan-friendly generosity will find great satisfaction and even resolution in “Beyond Measure.”

If you enjoy Jeremy Camp's hard-rocking and vocal strengths, there are a few indie artists you should check out: Jason Harwell, Brandon Chase, and David Frust. And of course, Todd Agnew brings the same muscular strength to his projects as well.

Missy Higgins : The Sound of White

Missy Higgins was discovered in 2001, when the Melbourne high-school student's song "All for Believing" won an unsigned artist competition sponsored by Australian national radio station Triple J. The plaintive piano ballad was an instant hit, but Higgins took her time with the fame. She eventually signed with Australia's Eleven imprint, which issued a self-titled EP in November 2003. It contained both "Believing" and Higgins' second hit, "Greed for Your Love." The Scar EP appeared in August 2004 and set the scene for the full-length Sound of White, which dropped the following September. Higgins then toured Australia, released a live EP, and prepared for her American debut, which came in January 2005 with the domestic-only All for Believing EP. Released through Warner Bros., it included the title track and four other songs from the Sound of White LP (which was reissued in the U.S. shortly after). Two years later Higgins released her second full-length, On a Clear Night, which saw a U.S. release in early 2008.

Missy Higgins (born Melissa Morrison Higgins on August 19, 1983, in Melbourne) is one of Australia’s most popular female singer-songwriters. Missy (Melissa) was thrust into the limelight in her homeland when she won a demo competition conducted by the national alternative broadcaster, Triple J. Although she was still at high school, her song All For Believing quickly became one of the station’s most requested tracks of 2001. In 2005, Missy took out 5 major ARIA Awards: Album of the Year (for The Sound of White), Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release, Breakthrough Artist - Album (for The Sound of White) and Highest Selling Album.

The Feeling : ‘Without You’ Music Video ! From The Brilliant Band

The Feeling some airplay here on Killed By The Video Star, but as none of you seemed to notice, or care, I thought I’d try again. I warn you, if I get no comments this time, I’ll keep plugging their videos until someone takes notice!

This is the second song from their second album, called Without You, and it’s a slice of Indie Pop heaven that deserves to get listened to by more ears than it currently is.
The song is a simple love song, about how badly you miss people when you are away from them. It’s like everything you do may be brilliant, except in the back of your head, your partner isn’t there with you to share the moment.

I suspect its a personal song from the experience of lead singer Dan Gillespie Sells, who has to leave his partner every time he goes touring with the group.

The video sums up these feelings by putting Dan in the role of an astronaut, in what looks like the old Soviet Union. We get to see him being prepared for space, before having his picture taken with his parents and captain.

I love the way the video is shot, starting and ending with a close up of Gillespie Sells’ eyes as he ponders life without the people he loves as he ventures in to space.

It looks like the video was done in just two shots, with a pan out, and a pan back in. You’ll notice also that the other band members all have a cameo part to play.

The song may be cheesy, and pure Pop, but who cares, it’s also beautifully sung, and tugs at the heartstrings. The video is innovative, and well done too.

THE brilliant thing about The Feeling is that they know how to make poppy tunes which seem, on first listen, insubstantial.

But this new single is actually about the Virginia Tech shootings. With a great hook and a message to boot.

Sure, it sounds a bit preachy. But, it's testament that there is so much more to this brilliant band than a great chorus and twee lyrics.

The Ting Tings: Shut Up And Let Me Go Download & Music Video

This is the band's next single and on a scale of 'not very good at all' to 'literally very amazing' it's somewhere towards the right hand side (if you have 'literally very amazing' on the right hand side). (If you have 'literally very amazing' on the left hand side it's more towards the left.)

U.K. duo are heating shit up. Their full-length We Started Nothing are hitting up the charts like there’s no tomorrow. So they are invading the states again but with more push behind their army. Their first attack and first ever appearance on American TV was on Jimmy Kimmel’s show.

Katie White and Jules de Martino’s brand of pop punk is highly energetic and bombastic. Make sure you don’t miss them on their U.S. invasion!

RATATAT - Mirando [Einstein MUST SEE!!!]

There are 64 individual deaths in the movie Predator. In New York Nintendo corps Ratatat’s “Mirando” video, composed of reanimated Predator clips, there are 41, give or take some repeats. On its own, the song is an appealing amalgamation of Black Dice rhythms, Matmos quirkiness, Iron Maiden guitar harmonies and Kōji Kondō Zelda theme fun. But it’s the video where it seems to make the most sense. “Mirando” is the Portuguese word for ‘target’ (Predator was filmed in Mexico), and the many explosions and remixed deaths of the video are synched so perfectly with Ratatat’s music that, having seen it, their song doesn’t feel as complete on its own anymore. This is a great effect if your band is Goblin, Vangelis or Green Jellÿ, but for a touring pseudo-rock band with smart DJ sensibilities (check last year’s pretty-decent hip-hop remixtape), it’s self-defeating. If the song is engaging as it is, why put it visually in the line of fire? - KORY GROW

Ludo - You're Awful, I love You : Love me dead

Recently the world of music videos has seen tons of artists turning their song into a short movie. Think of Panic! At The Disco and The Killers latest videos. However, when was the last time you watched a lead singer perform in his own video like he's in Broadway musical? Singer, Andrew Volpe, of the band Ludo definitely hits that note in their one-shot video for "Love Me Dead" that features several fascinating escapades in the background. It could be the best music video I've seen since OK Go hit those treadmills.

My Story
Ah, clever bands. We love them, don’t we? Bands like Harvey Danger and The Presidents Of The United States Of America, who know how to put out a quirky, left-of-center single that just grabs our heart. Of course, clever bands are also like that girl we met in class, who wasn’t super hot, but was pretty funny. So we got her number and talked to her on the phone a couple times. Maybe nailed her once (before we’d seen her dorm room and all those crazy stuffed animals) and then she got terribly clingy. So we stopped answering her calls and started sitting in the back of the class, making a bee-line for the door every time the damn thing was over. But then she got wise and started sitting in back too, showing up half an hour early just to make sure she could catch us. So we started ditching the class altogether and wound up failing the final, all to avoid talking to this chick who was once pretty fun to talk to but had slowly turned into a stalker…

Yeah, clever bands are sort of like that. We love ‘em and we ditch ‘em, and very few can ever transcend “fun to talk to” and reach the “fun to hang out with longterm” status. Not that its never happened. Hell, we’ve all practically married Weezer. So the question is: will Ludo, the newest clever band to come down the pike, get under our skin like Rivers Cuomo and his pals, or will we spend a night of passion with them and then wind up changing our cell providers?

Their Story
Ludo formed in St. Louis, Missouri as an acoustic duo in 2003, the combination of vocalist/guitarist Andrew Volpe and guitarist Tim Ferrell. The group drew their name from the gentle giant in Jim Henson’s fantasy film Labyrinth. The ranks of the band swelled over the next year, growing to include bassist Marshall Fanciullo, drummer Matt Palermo and moog-player Tim Convy.

The band recorded their self-titled indie debut in 2004. Ludo was released that spring on the group’s Redbird Records. The album was met with positive reviews and kicked off a strenuous period of touring by the band. The next year, they recorded the EP Broken Bride, a rock opera. Even more touring followed.

By 2007, Ludo’s interactive live shows and indie albums had drawn the interest of several major labels. That year, they signed a 5-album deal with Island Records, which would keep their Redbird label as an imprint. In late 2007, the band entered the studio with producer Matt Wallace (who worked on Maroon 5’s debut, as well as several albums with Faith No More) to record their first album for Island. The set was slated for a February 2008 release. The lead single, “Love Me Dead”, impacted radio the month before and has made some waves on Modern Rock stations. The video is also making the rounds.

Following their Island debut’s street date, Ludo toured for the entire month of March, including a showcase at SXSW and shows opening for the reunited Presidents Of The United States Of America. For future tour dates, check out Ludo’s official site.

The Album
On February 26, 2008, Island and Redbird Records released You’re Awful, I Love You, the second full length album by Ludo and their major label debut. The album features the hidden tracks “Goodbye Bear” and “The Boat Song”. The iTunes digital version contains the bonus track “Japan It!”.
